“... explains which primitive forms of the most powerful algae and which tree roots destroyed rocks and stones.” Alexander Von Humboldt, 1783.

Alexander Von Humboldt defined geography of the plants as a journey away from botanical description and classification. It is rather about the interactions that happen in the environment, the meetings between species: plants, fungi, mosses, lichens, animals, insects, climate, rocks, minerals.
The bodies-territories create a geography of relationships, they are configured in multi-species interaction: we are corpus, we are colonies organized by radical differences.

In the group of bryophytes are the liverworts. Liver: Old English lifer, from Proto-Germanic librn, German Leber "liver", a language mark that refers to the radical difference between plant and animal. Plants are not organ-organised individuals, their corporealities are configured modularly as a colony. Plants are a "superorganism" and form part of the so-called swarm intelligences (Mancuso, 2020).
It is in the emergence of rational ignorance that the not-possible stories of our historical relationship with hepatic plants emerge, and it is we-animals who involute within this phylogeny or kinship with the vegetable.  They were left with the short name of an animal organ and we were left with the invocation of a Hopeful monster-hypothese (Goldschmidt, 1929).

THE DEATHS OF GUTENBERG: NOSOTROS ORGANÍSMICO SERIES (2021-2023)

How are "humanist" meaning and practices transformed if the book, as the main emblem of knowledge, moves into a new stage and, in its death as an object of reading, becomes a living organism?
The deaths of Gutenberg: ‘Nosotros organísmico’, proposes a speculative fabulation of inter-species relationships, an artistic investigation that mixes theory and praxis, poetics and politics of representation. The  beginning is an experiment of biotransformation of books by Pleurotus fungi to create a necrosystem, where the symbolic hybridization of the book and the word will take place in living organisms that look forward to a future beyond the human.
